I’m here to tell you that you can build a business that 100% aligns with you! There really is not one set business strategy or model that you have to follow.   There’s no cookie cutter way that you have to build your business.  You can grow and build a business in whatever way feels good to you.


An aligned business makes you show up differently.

When something feels good to you, you get excited about it. You show up with more confidence.  You’re happy every day and much more productive. That really is the most important aspect of running your own business. 

Courses are not the best thing since sliced bread.  1:1 is not the best for everybody.  Group programs or VIP days are not the best for everyone.  There’s so many different models you can choose from.  The reality is that you can do whatever the hell you want.


If you want to be told how and when to do things, then go get a job.  

You became a business owner because you had a passion. Probably 90% of you have a “why” that is so deep.   You became a business owner because you wanted to create freedom and a life that you love. And you want to live life on your own terms. Part of living life on your own terms is defining what that business model and strategy looks like for you and then aligning it. Find what you’re good at and how you best serve people.  

If you love teaching in groups, then build your business model around that. I don’t care that everybody else is working on building a course.  That is not what is aligned with you if you like to teach in a group format. It’s your business, and you get to choose how it scales.  

I personally love working 1:1 and on a long term retainer.  Because I love the 1:1, I can show up with passion and excitement. It’s so obvious to people that I’m truly living my dream when I talk about how passionate I am to build my business 1:1. 


You get to define what’s scaling looks like to you.

It depends on what type of marketing strategy you like.  There’s so many factors, and ultimately, I really just want you to come back to yourself. Think about what it is you enjoy. What is it that you love doing the most, and what is it that brings the most passion out of you? 

When you have the answer to those questions, you can build a business model that supports that. There’s a million different business models. You can run challenges, masterclasses, freebie PDFs…the sky’s the limit. When it comes to marketing, sales, strategy for growth, and packaging and pricing, it’s all 100% able to be customized to you. 


I do not believe that there is one model that is better than the other. 

I can honestly tell you that I have clients in every single type of business model.  One of them is very successful with VIP days. Another one is very successful with small group programs. I have another one that is very successful with a template based product business.  Every single one of them is working for them. It doesn’t mean that the VIP day model is better than the template shop model. 


It’s your business…you define it. 

That is the most important thing. If you are feeling stuck, my questions to you are:

– What are you doing that you don’t enjoy? 

– What are you most passionate about? 

– Where do you thrive? 

– What lights you up the most? 

Think about that, and then think about if your business model aligns with it.  You being stuck could simply be that you’re out of alignment. And that’s an easy fix.  


Build a business that you love!

Define it in your own way. Yes, there are models out there to follow. There are strategies out there that can be duplicated. They all work, but you need to customize them to work for you. If you need help with that, please let me know. I love creating customized business models.  I think it’s amazing to see the amount of success that can come in so many different ways.

There’s nothing more exciting than when you’re talking with somebody about what you do with such passion that it’s contagious.  It makes selling and building your business so much easier. I can promise you that.
