Too Busy for Imposter Syndrome-Recast

If you’re an entrepreneur, I’m willing to bet that at some point in a time you’ve started to compare yourself to other entrepreneurs and imposter syndrome has started to set in. It happens to all of us. You start to think that you’re just not good enough, and you’ll never succeed in your business.

This sends you into the downward spiral of imposter syndrome. Before you know it, you might be ready to throw in the towel and give up on your entrepreneurial dreams because you’re not doing as well as someone else in your industry (or so you think). So- what can you do to combat imposter syndrome?

What is imposter syndrome?

Imposter syndrome is a feeling of comparison and wondering if you are worthy of having someone to actually pay you for your product or service. Imposter syndrome causes you to just feel like you’re not good enough. Today, I want to talk about getting too busy for imposter syndrome.

How can you work on getting too busy for imposter syndrome?

Think about the last time you went into vacation mode hustle.  So the last time you were getting ready to take some time off. Usually the days leading up to a vacation, you are so focused and busy that you manage to get so much done.  You’re so productive because you want to make sure everything is wrapped up and ready to go so that you can go and enjoy your vacation.

On days like that when you are so busy and so focused in your zone, there’s no time for those feelings of comparison. I want you to think about a day that you’ve had recently where you have been so in your zone that the day flew by.  Now, I want you to focus on getting like that every single day.

When you’re busy, there’s absolutely no time for imposter syndrome.

You’re not endlessly scrolling social media, googling every different topic, or looking on Pinterest. The reason you’re not doing any of those things is because you’re too busy! When you’re busy, focused, and in your zone of genius, it eliminates imposter syndrome. Afterall, imposter syndrome really just comes from having time with your thoughts.

You are your own worst enemy.

Imposter syndrome is created inside your mind. Nobody is walking up to telling you that you really suck at what you do. You’re telling yourself that. Nobody is telling you that you are not worth that amount or that you don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re the one creating those thoughts.

When you have time available, your mind starts running wild. So focus on getting yourself so busy or being in your zone of genius and staying so focused that there’s no time for all that outside noise. You will be amazed at how much your mindset shifts, how much your business shifts, and how much your confidence increases.

Put yourself on vacation hustle mode every single week.

I take every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. So by Thursday, I’m making sure I have every single thing done. If you’re finding that you have time to scroll through social media or browse on Pinterest, give yourself less time, be more focused, and eliminate imposter syndrome.

Eliminate the free space to let your mind and all of these thoughts run wild. So right now think about the last day that you felt so amazing because you were in your zone and busy all day. Then, figure out how you can duplicate that and make it your every day.

Obviously, you do need a break, but make it so that you get to that point. That’s what I want you to focus your thoughts on!  How can you get yourself so busy and focused that you don’t have time for anything else? Eliminate the noise in your head. Trust me when I tell you that you’re the only one creating it.
