R.O.U.T.E to Fully Booked: Uplevel

When I tell you that it’s time to uplevel your business…what comes to your mind? Are you only picturing yourself increasing your bank account? Or are you picturing a business that is full of dream clients, doing only the things that light you up, and increasing your revenue at the same time? The truth is…the next step in the R.O.U.T.E. to Fully Booked framework is all about the latter of those two. it’s time to UPLEVEL your biz.  

 

Eliminating the “shoulds”.

I know that we all love to create. We love to create new packages and new services. But as always, I want to challenge your thinking a little bit. I’m talking about no longer doing the things that you don’t love and making sure you are only creating offers full of what you love to do. In order to do this, you have to eliminate all the “shoulds” of the market. 

There is a business model out there that works for every single person. But, what we are doing in this step with upleveling is that we are focusing on creating offers that you love and only the offers that you love. You do this by going back to your reflection piece. 

 

To uplevel, you have to step away from the time for dollars mindset.

This means you need to create packages and services that are value and outcome-based. When I talk about outcome-based, it means looking at the needs and wants of your client in your target market, and then figuring out how you can create packages that give them the outcome that they’re desiring without trading 100% time for dollars. Let’s look at an example of this.

I had a client who is a copywriter. We put together a social media caption package. It included 12 Social media captions per month and was a mixture of long-form posts, and short-form posts, and made sure both conversion posts and authority building posts were included. 

This is an outcome-based package. It lets the client know exactly what they are going to get when they hire you and exactly what the price is. As a result, my client no longer has to track her hours. So focus on creating outcome-based packages that give your clients what they need, while also giving them what they want, and then getting you out of the time for dollar trade. 

 

Simplifying leads to an uplevel. 

I really want you to focus on 3 core offers. That’s all you really need. You do not need more because it gets confusing. Your audience doesn’t know which one is best. They don’t know which one they should buy. 

You can do this in a multitude of ways. It can be a one-off project that leads to another project that leads to a retainer. Also, it could be a mini webinar that leads to a group program that leads to membership. You could have a 1:1 offer that leads to a retainer, a group program, or a DIY program. There are so many different ways you can build your 3 core offers. But how those different three steps look depends on your industry and your audience. 

Now, I want to say that there’s always room for customization. Don’t freak out. You can always customize. When a dream client comes your way you can always tell them what you are willing to do. But you are not creating packages that are designed to serve everybody. 

 

By upleveling, you are only doing what you want to do. 

We’ve all taken on that client that needed something you didn’t necessarily love to do, but you take it because you want the money. But it’s time to uplevel. It’s time to get away from feeling like you need to take anything and everything for your paycheck. This is now about you leveling up to the role of CEO and understanding that you’re not here to serve everybody. You’re here to serve in the best way that you show up, with the skills that you best bring to the table, and the services that you love to offer, and you’re going to do it in the most simplistic way.
