Adopting an IDGAF Attitude in Business

Have you embraced the ”I don’t give a f***” attitude in your business? If you haven’t yet, you might want to consider it! The moment I adopted the IDGAF attitude within my business, everything changed. I stopped comparing myself to every other coach out there and stayed authentic to myself. This led to letting go of imposter syndrome. Which then led to attracting the right fit clients for me. I was able to release unrealistic expectations that were based on what I THOUGHT I SHOULD be doing because of what other people in my industry were doing. Let’s talk about adopting an IDGAF attitude in business.

Embracing IDGAF is powerful.

I joined a networking group that was filled with other coaches. A lot of the coaches speak that horseshit bro-marketing language of “I help you get to six figures.” You know me. I’m always the polar opposite of that. I started to worry about the fact I was NOT going to fit in. I finally had to tell myself, “You know what, Michelle? Stop giving a shit.”

I had to get into the “I don’t give a f***” mentality. This is how I feel and what I’m going to do. It is what’s important to me. This is what I feel is in integrity with me. You have to stop caring what every single person might think about every single piece of content you put out there. Do you know how long it took me to launch my podcast? I was so worried about what people might say and what kind of comments I might get.

You have to get to this place of IDGAF.

It’s not that you don’t care in a negative way. You can’t allow others’ opinions to stop you from what you feel strongly about. That is where I want you to get to. I want you to post that controversial post, call out the things in your industry that you don’t agree with, and show up as your more authentic self regardless of what that is.

You have to adopt the IDGAF attitude.

Not in an “I don’t care if you sign up for my program and get any results. That’s not my problem.” kind of way. That is not at all what I’m talking about. I’m talking about owning and stepping into and feeling confident in yourself and stopping caring what other people are thinking about you.

Stop caring what other people think.

There are so many more people that love you and want to love you and want to resonate with your content. And you’re not putting it out there because you’re so worried about one person that might not. So go ahead and put it out there. Stop allowing others to stifle you. That’s the whole point of this blog.
