The Evolution of Business

The evolution of your business is inevitable. Your ideas, your offers, and your services for your business are going to evolve as time goes on. As your business grows, it’s normal for things to change and evolve. Business is truly a constant state of evolution. As the years progress in business, you will realize that you are constantly shifting as you grow and lean into what you want to be known for.

The evolution of the Accelerated Business Alliance.

When I first created the Alliance, it was just a mastermind only. There were around 6 people, and it would run for 12 weeks. That was it. It was literally just a mastermind.  Today, a mastermind is still very much the focus, but it has evolved to so much more. There are more people. We do big events such as roundtables. Then, there are individual small group masterminds of 3-6 people.

Here’s the point…I could have given up on the Accelerated Business Alliance when it didn’t launch correctly.  And that’s the truth. It didn’t launch correctly at all. I didn’t get 6 people to join the mastermind, and I got sick of trying to explain the difference between a group coaching program and a mastermind. So I just gave up on it for a while. But it was still something that was really important to me.

Business is in a constant state of evolution.

So I think you just have to remember that when things don’t go the way you thought they would. Just because it doesn’t go as planned doesn’t mean that the idea is shit.  It doesn’t mean that you need to give up on it. It just means that things continue to change and evolve.

I think that this is one of the most important things to remember. Business is in a constant state of evolution. It is shifting and moving through things and seeing what can be changed. In business, you will constantly be taking feedback, and making adjustments as your business grows.

Evolution means trying new things.

We are over halfway through the year and look at what the Alliance is now. That’s only because I’ve tried different things. I’ve been a member of different events and different groups. And I’ve started to see what works really well, and what doesn’t. You have to be aware of all the things that are happening and be open to change and evolving your ideas.

Your offers and packages will evolve, too.

Everything in business is in a constant state of evolution. I’m not saying change dramatically over time, but know that your ideas are going to evolve as your business grows. This is totally normal and natural.

If something you do isn’t lighting you up, that is the sign that it’s time to evolve. It’s time to move to that next level. That’s growth. You also need to understand that sometimes things need to wait.

The Alliance sat on the back burner for like over a year before I did anything with it again. The same thing is true with my podcast. You can let ideas sit on the back burner for a while before you implement them.

I like to keep a list. It’s a running list of thoughts and ideas that I have about my business. I write the ideas down so I don’t forget them and then revisit those ideas from time to time. A lot of what you’re seeing from me now is a lot of things that I put out in 2018. It’s just evolving.

Things don’t have to always be new.

All you really need to do is evolve what you’ve already done. Just change it to meet you where you’re at now in your business. Don’t reinvent the wheel and make things harder on yourself. Everything that you’ve done can always just continue to grow with you.

If you need a little bit of help with that, I have a new one-month program called Develop Your Biz. I feel like a lot of people need to be back in this development stage of looking at what was working and what needs to evolve. So if you need help sorting everything out so your business can evolve, it’s a one-month intensive with 3 appointments.
