Are you burned out by the chaos of social media and feeling like the only way to grow is to constantly be online, posting, scrolling, and “engaging”?
Let’s talk about visibility strategies that go beyond social media. Because what used to work isn’t working the same anymore. Buyer behavior has changed. People want connection. They buy based on conversation and referral. Not just a post they scrolled past.
This isn’t about doing more for the sake of more. It’s about building real relationships, staying top of mind, and creating brand awareness that sticks.
Let’s break down the six strategies that still work, and will keep working in 2026.
1. Networking and Relationship Marketing
This isn’t optional anymore.
You’ve got to get in the right rooms and talk to people: face to face, Zoom to Zoom, real conversation. Whether it’s virtual or in person, paid or free, events or coffee chats, networking is how you stay top of mind.
I do over 100 coffee chats a year. It’s my strategy. And it works.
The trick? Don’t join every group out there. That just leads to burnout and over-committing. You need one really solid group that aligns, where people know people. Because it’s not just who’s in the room, it’s who they know.
2. Podcast Guesting & Speaking Opportunities
Everyone says they want to speak. But not everyone is actually going out and finding the opportunities.
This strategy only works if you work it. That means pitching yourself, knowing what value you bring, and getting clear on how your message helps their audience.
This is not about throwing a post on Instagram saying “I’m open to guesting.” That’s not a strategy.
And most of these opportunities? They come through relationships. They come through networking. You’ve got to ask, follow up, and keep putting yourself in the mix.
3. Host Your Own Events
Workshops, masterclasses, retreats, webinars, networking calls, it all counts.
But here’s the caveat: if you’re going to teach a masterclass, teach something. Give people something tangible they can do when they leave. Don’t turn it into a glorified info session and then wonder why it didn’t convert.
And if consistency is the goal, you’ve got to give each event time to work. Repeat the same event monthly or quarterly. Give it a chance to grow and compound. One-off events with short launch windows don’t cut it.
4. Email Marketing That Actually Connects
Email isn’t dead. It never was. It just got forgotten in the noise of social.
Email is your relationship-builder. And when you figure out what your email strategy is, whether it’s segmentation or one weekly send, you’ll start to feel that traction.
My Sunday Morning Brew email has been going strong. It didn’t happen overnight. But once it clicked, it worked. Consistency is what matters here.
5. SEO and Evergreen Content
Blogging still works. YouTube still works. Pinterest works for some industries. These are “old school” strategies for a reason: they’ve stood the test of time.
SEO is baked into everything now, even TikTok and Instagram are leaning into it.
This is not about becoming a YouTube strategist. It’s about choosing platforms that continue to build your discoverability long after the content is posted.
Think searchable. Think sustainable. Think smart.
6. Referral & Affiliate Marketing
Most people overlook this because they’re so stuck in content creation mode. But referral partners? Strategic collaborations? They’re pure gold.
I roll out affiliates for my evergreen Focused Visionary Framework.I build partnerships with service providers who don’t overlap, but serve the same ideal client.
Why wouldn’t you want someone else sending pre-qualified leads your way?
You don’t even need a full affiliate system. You can do guest blogs. Email swaps. Referral incentives. Real visibility comes from real relationships.
Which Strategy Should You Pick First?
Don’t try to do all six at once.
Pick one. Just one. Then decide:
- Can I be consistent with this?
- Does this stretch me or excite me?
- Is this in alignment with how I connect best?
You Need a Better Strategy to Invest Your Content Into.
Stop spending all your time creating content that doesn’t convert. You’re doing too much for too little return.
Visibility doesn’t have to be exhausting.
It just has to be intentional.
So pick one strategy. Commit to it. And work it.
